Filling of Choices : Once the registration process is complete, candidates will be able to check the available choices as per their eligibility and they must select the institutes and courses in order of their preferences. Candidates can arrange their choices in order of their preference by using the “Arrange Filled Choices” option.

Mock Allotment Round : The authorities conduct a mock allotment process before conducting the actual one, so that the candidates will get an idea of their chances in their desired colleges and know where they actually stand.

After the Mock Allotment Round, candidates will be allotted colleges and branches on the basis of their rank, category, preferences and seat availability. The process of JoSAA Seat Allotment is carried out in 7 Rounds. And the whole process will be conducted online.

Freeze This option is for the candidate who has accepted the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds. Such candidates will not be considered for any subsequent rounds.
