- Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR) was established in 2012 and is now ranked top 7
among the Indian universities. It is a constituent unit of Jamia Hamdard. The
institute conducts research in cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
The institute is supported by 510 bedded Hakeem Abdul Hameed Centenary
(HAHC) teaching Hospital. Free OPD facilities are provided to University

- The admission to the MBBS and MS/MD courses shall be done strictly on
the basis of All India overall rank obtained in the National Eligibility cum
Entrance Test (NEET UG & PG respectively) conducted by the National Board of
Examinations. The online counselling for admission will be done by Directorate
General of Health Services.
Note : Stipend for PG (MD/MS) students is Rs. 80,000/- per month
