Shoaib Aftab of Odisha and Akanksha Singh of Uttar Pradesh attained perfect 720 out of 720 marks. They have created history and set a benchmark. Although they have scored same marks, Shoaib Aftab has bagged All India Rank 1 and Akanksha Singh has bagged AIR 2. According to NTA, this is because of the tie-breaking policy as Akanksha is younger than Shoaib.

A total of 771500 candidates have qualified the NEET 2020 examination. Nearly 16 lakh students registered for NEET exam this year and over 13 lakh students appeared in the examination.

The Supreme Court on October 12, 2020, directed the NTA  declared the NEET
2020
results on October 16, 2020.
The court also said that the candidates who
could not appear for the examination on September 13 because of Covid-19
(either tested positive or were stuck in containment zone) will be provided a
chance to take the examination on October 14, 2020. NEET
2020
examination
was conducted on September 13, 2020 amidst the pandemic. It was postponed
twice this year, due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
