After the decision taken by JAB in regards with JEE Advanced 2020 eligibility criteria relaxation, CSAB has also decided to relax the eligibility criterion for JEE Main 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Now the JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates securing only passing marks in Class 12th will also be eligible for admissions to NITs and CFTIs.

HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on July 23, 2020 tweeted, “Due to prevailing circumstances, Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs and other CFTIs.”

Generally, the eligibility criterion was to secure a minimum of 75% marks in 12th Board or rank among the top 20 percentile in the qualifying examination.
