Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur or IITJ), is a public university located in Jodhpur in the
state of Rajasthan in India. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology
(Amendment) Act, 2011 which declares these eight IITs as well as the conversion of the Institute of
Technology, Banaras Hindu University to IIT. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by
the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012.

For undergraduates, IIT Jodhpur offers BTech programs. Admissions to BTech programs are carried through
Joint Entrance Examination, after completing 10+2 schooling.

landing into the professional world. Also, it sensitizes students in the best possible way so that they can make
their own career decisions and prepare themselves for entering into industry, academia, and entrepreneurship.
Thus, it will provide services and resources that assist students in their ongoing efforts of competence
development, career planning, and employer searching. Using a combination of innovative training methods,
skill assessment programs, and a continuous assessment of student interests, the CDC envisages to help
students to realize their strengths and overcome their shortcomings in attitude, skills, and knowledge. CDC
strengthens the abilities of students in the right direction so that they can reflect on specific challenges and
