Number of Attempts a Candidate have

A candidate have only three attempts for appearing in JEE Main.
We are well aware of the fact that JEE Mains is conducted twice in a year i.e., January session & April session.
Now, many candidates get confused whether each session is counted as an attempt. The answer to this question is no.
If a candidate has already appeared for JEE Mains 2020 January Session and plans to appear in the April session of JEE Mains 2020 then both of them shall be counted as single attempt. In other words, January and April sessions of JEE Mains of a particular year are counted as a single attempt.
