The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), formerly the All India Pre-Medical
Test, is conducted for admission to 1,09,095 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc &
AH offered in colleges of India. This article will provide the information and data of the total UG

MoHFW with the Board of Governors (BoG) in supersession of MCI has informed that for 10%
reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in all government MBBS colleges for
admission in undergraduate courses through NEET 2024.

Counselling :

NEET Counseling is being organized through online mode. The counseling will be started
from 1st July 2024. Candidates should attend the counseling process which is conducted by
Medical Counseling Committee (MCC)

The state counseling authorities will be organizing state level counseling separately.

The counseling procedure for 15% All India Quota seats, Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC and AFMC including, BHU and AMU is being managed by the Medical Council Committee.

All medical institutions consider score of NEET for providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses. The counseling process for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota Seats will be organized separately in all medical & dental colleges. The MCC conducts the centralized counseling for all category candidates.

For management seats in private medical colleges, candidates will be needed to apply separately in each college.

The MBBS/BDS seats are filled through NEET UG all over the country every year. The seats are filled in the following categories:

State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private University.

NEET Counseling for 15% AIQ :

For 15% All India Quota Seats, the counseling is to be managed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India. The candidates whose score above 15% All India cut-off would be able to participate in All India Counseling. The counseling process for 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota Seats will be organized separately in all medical & dental colleges. The MCC conducts the centralized counseling for all category candidates.

In 15% AIQ Counseling, all state medical and dental colleges participate to offer admissions in their campuses. Through this counseling, candidates can get admission in medical colleges located anywhere in India.

The seats are allotted as per the All India Rank of the candidate and filled choices. Candidates, those who will participate in this counseling will also take part in state quota counseling of their respective states.

State MBBS/ BDS Counseling 2024 :

For 85% State Quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates can apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank prepared by concerned Counseling Authorities.

The counseling for Private Medical Colleges is also to be conducted by the concerned State Counseling Authority. The 85% State Quota Counseling is to be conducted for admission in the state medical & dental colleges.

The details and schedule of counseling are made available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorates of States.

Candidates are advised to be in touch with the respective counseling authorities and institutions that are concerned for state counseling details.

NEET 2024 Counseling Procedure :

Here we have mentioned the complete procedure to take part in the NEET 2024 Counseling.

Registration :

First, the candidates have to do the registration by login to the official website.
Candidates should also pay the counseling fee of NEET and security fee through online banking.
Fee Rs 1000 (counseling fee) & Rs 10,000 (security fee).
Without the registration, candidates will not be able to fill the college and course choice.
On the completion of the registration process, a unique User ID & Password is generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number.
With the help of this generated user ID and password, candidate will be able to proceed for further process.

Within a few days of the choice locking, the seat allotment result will be declared by the authority.
