1) Age Limit:

Lower Limit: Candidate should have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31, 2021.
Upper Limit: There is no upper age limit to appear for NEET 2021.The clause that stated the upper age limit as 25 years had been challenged in the Honorable High Court of Delhi and the verdict is pending. Thus, the candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear for NEET 2021.
Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India looking forward to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also have to qualify NEET (UG)

The maximum limit is not mentioned by NTA. Hence, a candidate can appear as many times as they want to.

Only those candidates who have Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Biotechnology as their subject combination at (10+ 2) level along with English as mandatory subject are eligible to appear for NEET 2021.

The candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained minimum percentage of –

5) Qualifications and Qualifying Examination Codes :

Code 1: A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited, may apply and appear in the test. The candidate has to submit the result of the qualifying examination in the first round of counselling. The candidate shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination.

Code 2: – Candidates who have qualified Class 12 in the year 2019 or before. The candidate has not pursued any other course after Class 12th.

Candidates who have passed (10+2) for Open School or as private candidate can also apply for NEET 2021.

Code 3: – For candidates who have completed the Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a mandatory subject.

Code 4: – For candidates who have completed the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical tests in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

Code 5: – For candidates who are enrolled in and have passed the first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

Code 6: – For a candidate who has passed the B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology(Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Code 7: – For candidates who have passed any other examination (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; which shall include practical test in these subjects) which is equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. It is also for the Candidates who have completed the qualifying examination from a foreign University.

Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of IndianOrigin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible
Students from UT of J&K and Ladakh are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically alongwith confirmation page for the record and they need to present the same during counselling
