- Upper Limit: There is no upper age limit to appear for NEET 2021.The clause that stated the upper age limit as 25 years had been challenged in the Honorable High Court of Delhi and the verdict is pending. Thus, the candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear for NEET 2021.
- Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India looking forward to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also have to qualify NEET (UG)

Code 1: A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited, may apply and appear in the test. The candidate has to submit the result of the qualifying examination in the first round of counselling. The candidate shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination.

Code 3: – For candidates who have completed the Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a mandatory subject.

Code 4: – For candidates who have completed the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical tests in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
Code 4: – For candidates who have completed the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical tests in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
Code 5: – For candidates who are enrolled in and have passed the first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

- Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of IndianOrigin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible
- Students from UT of J&K and Ladakh are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically alongwith confirmation page for the record and they need to present the same during counselling
