The State PG NEET 2020 has successfully completed a total of 3 rounds (1st and 2nd round and Mop up round counselling). Ordinarily 2 rounds of online counselling followed by offline mop round was being followed until last year. The process of deposition of original documents was done to deter students from holding a seat in the State in case they have got an allotment either in All India or other State counselling.

The Hon’ble Supreme court of India vide order dated 30.07.2020 in M.A. No 1282 of 2020 in Writ Petition no 76/2015 under the extraordinary circumstances of COVID 19 pandemic has extended the last of admission from 31.07.2020 to 31.08.2020.

The Government of India in its letter dated 13.08.2020 has permitted the State Government to fill up the seats. Accordingly the government has directed KEA to conduct an extended round of counselling due the extraordinary circumstances of COVID 19.

Medical Authorities of India on July 31, 2020 announced the Extension of last date for Admission in PG Courses and time of Reporting for Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling for the academic year 2020-21.
Medical Authorities of India on July 31, 2020 announced the Extension of last date for Admission in PG Courses and time of Reporting for Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling for the academic year 2020-21.
The date of admission in PG courses has been extended from July 31, 2020 to August 31, 2020 and the reporting time has been extended till August 14, 2020.

“As per the order passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in M.A filed in W.P (C) No. 76 of 2015 by Government of Rajasthan and Private Medical Colleges of Bihar seeking extension of the last date of admission, the Hon’ble Court was pleased to extend the last date for admission in Post Graduate Courses (Broad Speciality) on National basis from 31.07.2020 to 31.08.2020 for the academic year 2020-21 only. Therefore, the competent authority has decided to extend the time of Reporting for Stray Vacancy Round till 14.08.2020,” reads the MCC Notice.

The notice also mentions, “Also, it is informed that MCC of DGHS will provide the facility for ‘Fresh Registration’ for candidates who could not register in earlier rounds and hence were NOT Eligible for Stray Vacancy Round of Counselling and could not participate in Stray Round.”
