- The Supreme Court on October 12, 2020, directed the NTA to declare the NEET 2020 results on October 16, 2020. - Lower Limit: Candidate should have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31, 2020.
- Upper Limit: There is no upper age limit to appear for NEET 2020.The clause that stated the upper age limit as 25 years had been challenged in the Honorable High Court of Delhi and the verdict is pending. Thus, the candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear for NEET 2020.
- Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India looking forward to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also have to qualify NEET (UG)

Code 1: A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited, may apply and appear in the test. The candidate has to submit the result of the qualifying examination in the first round of counselling. The candidate shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination. - Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of IndianOrigin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible
- Students from UT of J&K and Ladakh are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically alongwith confirmation page for the record and they need to present the same during counselling
