  • Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the JEE Main 2020 will now be held in September. The JEE Main entrance exam will be held from September 1 to 6 and JEE Advanced will be held on September 27.
  • MHRD has announced that JEE Advanced 2020 will be held in August. We will update exact dates of the events of JEE Advanced 2020 as soon as they are announced.

JEE Advanced 2020 counselling process will be managed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).JEE Advanced 2020 counselling process will be managed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

  • Candidates who will qualify the exam will be able to participate in the JEE Advanced Counselling 2020 process.
  • Counselling will be conducted through online mode.
  • The schedule of the joint seat allocation will be announced separately by JoSAA 2020.

JoSAA 2020 Couselling Process

Candidates will have to go through all the steps during the JEE Advanced counselling 2020 in order to get seat allotment. Candidates will have to go through all the steps during the JEE Advanced Counselling 2020 in order to get seat allotment.

  • Registration: Candidates will have to register online to participate in the counselling process. No fee will be charged for registration.
  • Choice filling & Locking: After registration, candidates will have to log in using their JEE Main 2020 roll number & password. Candidates can fill the maximum choices as per their preference for seat allocation. Candidates should lock their choices, failure of this will result into the last saved choices being locked automatically.
  • Seat Allotment : Candidates will be able to check the mock allotment as per the choices they submit. If you want to make any changes, you will be allowed but for a limited period of time.
  • Reporting at Centres : Finally, the selected candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to their respective centers. Candidates should bring all the required documents for verification. After all the procedures are completed, candidates will have to report to their allotted institute and pay the required fee.

For B.Arch Students :

  • Candidates securing marks above the cut-off will be declared PASS in the test. There is no separate ranking in the AAT. There is no separate cut-off for students of any category.
  • Seats will be allotted on the basis on category-wise All India Rank in the JEE (Advanced) 2020 and B. Arch. program will be offered only to those candidates declared “PASS” in the AAT.

  • Candidate should not be have form of color blindness. A certificate to this effect from a govt. registered medical practitioner has to be produced at the time of seat acceptance.
  • IITs may constitute a medical board to test the validity of the candidate’s medical condition.
  • Mining Engineering : The standard visual acuity with and without glasses shall be strictly adhered to the candidates who wish to pursue this course. Person with one eyed vision will not be allowed to work underground and hence candidates with such conditions are not eligible to opt for admission to Mining Engineering and Mining Machinery Engineering.

Preparatory courses are conducted for the period of 1 year by a few selected IITs to fill the vacant seats reserved for SC, ST and PwD candidates. Admission to preparatory courses has be on the basis of :

  • Candidate should note that the institute at which one-year preparatory course is run for a candidate may be different from the institute allocated to the candidate for their academic program.
  • Candidates allotted to the preparatory courses are eligible to appear for JEE advanced Exam given that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria of the respective exam.
