Latest Updates

  • Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the JEE Main 2020 will now be held in September. The JEE Main entrance exam will be held from September 1 to 6 and JEE Advanced will be held on September 27.
  • MHRD has announced that JEE Advanced 2020 will be held in August. We will update exact dates of the events of JEE Advanced 2020 as soon as they are announced.
  • JEE (Mains) 2020 April Examination has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. Thus, JEE (Advanced) 2020, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday, 17th May 2020, is rescheduled on Sunday, 23rd August 2020.

Reservation of Seats

  • General Category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS)- 10% of seats in every course .
  • Other Backward Classes belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL)- 27% of seats in every course .
  • Scheduled Caste(SC)- 15% of seats in every course .
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)- 7.5% of seats in every course .
  • Persons with Disability (PwD)- 5% seats in each of OPEN, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category seats.
    Benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability i.e., locomotor, visual or SEVERE dyslexic
  • Defense Service (DS) Candidates- 2 seats are available for preferential allotment in each Institute.
    Applicable only to the children of defence/ paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peacetime operations.
  • Foreign Candidates – Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and have studied (are studying) abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE(Advanced)2020, are treated as foreign nationals. Seats allotted to such foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total number of seats in every course. And they don’t have to write JEE Mains 2020 exam.

  • The Reservation of Seats under GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD (Persons with Disability) categories are not applicable for Foreign Nationals.
  • Unfilled seats reserved under GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL category shall be made open to the General/ OPEN category students.
  • Unfilled seats reserved for PwD (Persons with Disability) in each category shall be made open to other persons of that respective category.
  • Unfilled seats reserved under SC and ST category shall not be de-reserved for any other category.
  • The Reservation of Seats under GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD (Persons with Disability) categories are not applicable for Foreign Nationals.
  • Unfilled seats reserved under GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL category shall be made open to the General/ OPEN category students.

  • Class 10th Certificate of Birth Certificate for age verification.
  • Class 12th (or equivalent) Certificate for those who appeared for this exam in 2019 or whose Board declared Class XII result after June 2018)
  • In case Candidate’s Name is not same as Class 10th Certificate then you will need gazette notification showing the change of name.
