  • Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the JEE Main 2020 will now be held in September. The JEE Main entrance exam will be held from September 1 to 6 and JEE Advanced will be held on September 27.
  • MHRD has announced that JEE Advanced 2020 will be held in August. We will update exact dates of the events of JEE Advanced 2020 as soon as they are announced.

Or the students must be within the Top 20 percentile with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.Candidates can appear for the exam if they have appeared for their Class XII or equivalent exam for the first time in 2019 or 2020. Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2019 can appear in JEE Advanced 2020. Candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fees but –

  1. did not report at any reporting centre OR,
  2. withdrew before the last round of seat allotment, OR,
  3. had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, during the joint seat allocation in 2019

are also eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2020.

Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and have studied (are studying) abroad at (10+2) level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE(Advanced) 2020, are treated as foreign nationals. Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total number of seats in every course.Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and have studied (are studying) abroad at (10+2) level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE(Advanced) 2020, are treated as foreign nationals.
