Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to remove the eligibility criteria of 75% marks in Class 12th for JEE Advanced 2020 qualified candidates, this year. The decision has been taken, keeping in mind the partial cancellation of Class 12th Board exams due to the pandemic.

HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on July 17, 2020 tweeted, “Due to the partial cancellation of class XII exams by several Boards, Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for JEE (Advanced) 2020 qualified candidates this time.”

Generally, the eligibility criterion was to secure a minimum of 75% marks in 12th Board or rank among the top 20 percentile in the qualifying examination.
