The first phase of placement at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati 2019-20 was conducted from December 1 to December 15, 2019. Within two days. For the placement, more than 300 offers were received from large companies including Google, IBM, Oracle, and others. The institute also received a total of 20 international offers from Microsoft, Accenture Japan, Uber, BNY Mellon USA, and SOU Japan. According to the head of the Career Development Center at IIT Guwahati, the number of international placements has doubled from the total number of the previous year on the second day of placement. During this phase, jobs were being offered in various profiles such as IT / Software, Analyst, Finance, Management, Design, etc. 250 companies had registered during the previous year (2018-19) compared to around 200 companies.
