  • Official notice on CLAT 2020 exam: “The CLAT 2020 shall be conducted through a computer-based, online, centre-based test to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020”.
  • The last date for online applications for CLAT is extended to July 10, 2020.
  • Due to the current situation of COVID-19, the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities has extended the last date of online Application Form for CLAT 2020 to 1st July, 2020.
  • The date for CLAT Exam 2020 will be announced by the Executive Committee 21 days before the commencement of the exam.

The candidate must have qualified (10 + 2) or equivalent Exam from a Govt. recognized Board with a minimum of -The candidate must have qualified (10 + 2) or equivalent Exam from a Govt. recognized Board with a minimum of –

  • 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
  • 40% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories

  • 40% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories

  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination(10 +2 or equivalent) in March/April, 2020 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2020 examination. For that they will be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  • The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or equivalence) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination(10 +2 or equivalent) in March/April, 2020 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2020 examination. For that they will be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

  • Seats are offered to the NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates under the NRI Quota.
  • NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates must contact the concerned university directly for admission formalities, eligibility, documents required and other related queries for seeking admission under NRI/NRI sponsored category.

  • Certificate from the local embassy stating that the person is an NRI/OCI or PIO Card.

  • An affidavit by the sponsor indicating the interest shown in the education affairs of the student and willingness to fund the education of student over the next 5 years.
