Importance of Board Exams

Importance of Board Exams

Boards are the most important examinations when it comes to determining the future of a child, especially helpful for picking up a career. This primarily because the scores from both class 10 and 12 boards are the qualifying criteria for admissions to the top schools and colleges in India- be it any field of Medicine, Engineering, Law or any other course. They are important not just for admissions but are also looked into even when a fresh graduate seeks a job in companies and MNCs.

Class 10 exams determine which course you can get admission into. With the new National Education Policy, this scenario is about to change. With a shift in paradigm from mainstreams like Science, Commerce and Humanities for a 10+2 pattern, the NEP will aid students in picking up the subjects they like, irrespective of the stream they choose.

However, it is expected that the choice of subjects might not be available to everyone in all the colleges. This might depend upon the marks obtained in previous grades, and board exams are one of them. CBSE will release more notifications regarding the same.
