Click here for Application Form Correction for JEE Mains April- 2020

  • Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the JEE Main 2020 will now be held in September. The JEE Main entrance exam will be held from 1st to 6th September 2020.
  • MHRD have announced new schedule for JEE Mains 2020 Exam for July session. According to that new schedule JEE Mains 2020 Exam will be conducted on 18th and 23rd July, 2020.
  • Application form Correction has been extended till 3rd May, 2020.

Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast.

Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.

Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects.

Preparation Tips for JEE Mains 2020

  • JEE Mains has an extensive syllabus and preparing for it can be really challenging. Aspirants are required to pay full attention and time to each and every subject. It is suggested that students must devise a study plan and study accordingly.
  • A proper study plan is vital. Aspirants should make it according to their learning abilities and capacity. For some students, even the last few months are enough to prepare while on the other hand, some students start their preparation from Class 11th. Some students require only 4 hours a day while some require 8 hours a day.
  • Students are recommended to keep a track of their preparation and notes. Experts suggests that aspirants should start their preparation as early as possible. This will give them enough time to practice and revise.
  • Practice is the key to crack any exam. Aspirants are suggested to practice with the help of sample papers and previous year question papers. Taking important mock tests is also very helpful in the preparation of the exam.
  • Coaching classes is one way to prepare for the exam but students should not undermine the importance of self-study. It is vital that they give equal time to self-study and should not just jump through the problems they face while studying. They must note down the problems and attend to them later. It is important for them to clear all their doubts.
  • Aspirants must be thorough with the concepts of the syllabus and should not divert from the syllabus. Missing out even the slightest part of the syllabus might result in a poor score.
  • Some questions can be really baffling and at times like this, clarity in concepts is really helpful. Cramming is not fruitful in such a situation. Hence, it is suggested that aspirants should focus on concepts and in- depth study.
  • Students should also keep in mind the aspect of negative marking in the exam. It is important to understand that an incorrect answer will result in deduction of marks so aspirants need to be sure of the answer.
  • Aspirants should devote their time to all the three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Aspirants should identify their weaknesses and strengths. This will allow them to strengthen their weaknesses and prepare effectively.
  • If an aspirant is weak in one subject, he or she should give it extra time to be confident and excel at it. But this does not mean that he or she should leave the other subjects unattended because confidence is vital but overconfidence is just as harmful as under confidence.
  • Physics demands more of a logical and practical approach; chemistry requires memorising and mathematics requires practice. Thus, aspirants should prepare accordingly. A proper strategy is necessary to crack the exam.
